Here was an interview I did with my mother: (the quality is bad as this had to be compressed so the file would fit on blogger)
One of the problems I en counted when filming my documentary was that I used my phone as an auto cue for one of my shots, however this caused signal interference which can be heard on the video. However I ran out of time to film this shot again so I had to just accept that this shot had been affected. Furthermore I had to solve the problem in which the interviewee’s audio levels were really low compared to mine as I was closer to the shotgun microphone (my audio levels were too high) therefore I had to split interview clips into many different pieces – one clip with me speaking where I would reduce the audio gain and another clip with the interviewee speaking where I would increase the audio gain. All of this caused there to be some jump-cuts in the interview section of the documentary which made the interviews less seamless and smooth. I did in fact learn how I could reduce the increase the audio gain on the same clip without cutting the clips by using the pen tool in Premiere Pro however it was too late by this point to re-edit all of the audio.
Here is my final documentary called 'The Darker Side Of Social Media'
